As a senior at Rutgers University, I am pursuing a major in Agriculture and Food Systems, and a minor in EPIB. I am passionate about understanding the complexities of the food industry and how it affects our health and the environment.In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to study abroad in France where I immersed myself in the local culture and learned about French food, wine, farmers, and the economy. During my time in France, I had the privilege of interning on a vineyard, where I gained hands-on experience in the winemaking process and the intricacies of grape cultivation.I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student, always eager to learn and explore new ideas. I believe that my experiences have given me a unique perspective and skillset that will serve me well in my future endeavors. Whether in the classroom or in the field, I approach every task with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond.I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am eager to connect with professionals in the agriculture and food systems industries. Specifically, I hope my future involves tackling food apartheid and nutrient education in underserved communities.
