I entered the legal field in 2007 at a local boutique estate planning office. My responsibilities began as a paralegal with handling attorney support for guardianships, estate tax returns, probate administrations, and estate planning. I was later promoted to Public Benefits Coordinator where I was responsible for helping with clients applying Medicaid and VA benefits.I enjoy working in the area of elder law. I like the complexity of it. I like that every single case is different and we are able to be a bright spot in what is otherwise terrifying and sad for our clients.I work with our clients in helping to make sure our plans are carried out. Clients get to know me well when we handle their Medicaid applications and I'm closely involved in making sure we have all the details needed to prove eligibility for their plan.I still do estate planning and estate and administrations and guardianships, etc. Most recently I’ve been working on special needs and disability coordination. This is a complex field to be in, but I’m happy to focus on those who need the most help.
