State Executive Director - Wisconsin
CurrentLeveraging proven sales, influential communication skills and broad network of medical professionals and corporate leaders, leading the development and success of a statewide operation to fund research and programs for breast cancer. Responsible for strategic planning, funding, program delivery, board development, and day-to-day activities as well as securing corporate and media partnerships.• The driving leader behind successful fundraising and partnership efforts: Komen Wisconsin has invested $19.1M+ in local community breast health programs and education as well as $7.3M+ to the most promising breast cancer research programs• Develop, monitor and generate $2.2M budget annually – ownership of raising $2.2M every year through grassroots fundraising • Chosen by Board of Directors to lead merger of three Komen Affiliates in Wisconsin, creating a single statewide organization; oversee recruitment, development, and training, and hundreds of volunteers• Created the Komen Wisconsin Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, from serving individuals in 8 counties with a $200K budget to serving individuals living in 36 counties with a budget of $600K+• Grew organization from 25th ranking to 3rd in gross revenue (2012 to 2019) out of 83 Affiliates• Built partnerships with 56+ medical professionals/providers of breast cancer services around state• Led initiative to strengthen fundraising impact by aligning affiliate efforts into one significant event (Race for the Cure), delivering $1M in added revenue from the new campaign; also identified several additional fundraising strategies to increase organization’s revenue • Elected by peers to Affiliate Leadership Council (ALC) for a 2-year term to represent north-central region as one of fourteen; ALC serves as a liaison between the Affiliate Network and headquarters• ncreased peer-to-peer fundraising 12% in a year for signature fundraiser More Than Pink Walk
