    Operated one of the main recycling stations at the Homebake Music Festival. The festival has implemented a $1 deposit per drink purchase, both aluminum and PET bottles. Event punters can return cans and/or bottles to recycling stations and receive a $1 coin in return. I managed a crew of about 8 handling returns and sorting the recycling. This an amazing program as it helps to keep event grounds extremely clean, punters enjoy getting money back (and even making money sometimes), and it helps with recycling sorting being handled immediately.

The three teams worked 6 hours during the day for three days. We were able to divert nearly 2 tonnes of cans from the landfill.
