🌊 Passionate about marine conservation - in particular, cetacean ecology and coral restoration - I hold a Master's degree in Tropical Marine Biology and bring hands-on experience in ecological research, data analysis, and project management. My MSc research focused on analysing epidermal-associated microbial composition of cetaceans to explore the effects of anthropogenic activity on cetacean health. 🐟 Currently, I work at the Marine Stewardship Council within the Peer Review College. Coordinating independent expert reviews of fishery assessments against the MSC Fisheries Standard and maintaining positive relationships with Conformity Assessment Bodies and independent consultants. 🐋 Beyond my professional role, I'm actively involved in marine conservation efforts. As a PADI Divemaster, I assist in training new members and leading recreational dives while promoting underwater safety and environmental stewardship, I also contribute to The Marine Diaries as a Social Media Assistant, raising awareness and educating audiences on marine issues through content creation and storytelling. I am also a volunteer marine mammal medic for the BDMLR charity, providing assistance and critical care to stranded marine mammals. 🌍 I am always eager to seek out new opportunities combining my academic background, technical skills, and passion for marine biology and conservation.
