I am responsible for leading on RNLI marketing and visitor experience in N. Ireland and Ireland. Inspiring and motivating supporters and volunteers through marketing activities and at our visitable locations in order to secure vital income that powers our lifesaving recovery. I ensure there is the correct skills, knowledge and capability to deliver the marketing and visitor experience activities in the region.

I am responsible for project management and growth of engaging with the public through the visitble assets of the RNLI in N. Ireland ,Isle of Man and West Scotland . This involves driving visitor footfall, maximising retail revenue and delivering new and exciting campaigns across a range of different visitor experiences, while leading and managing a diverse team of volunteers and stakeholders. I have a range of skills such as the use of continuous improvement, innovative development, managing and delivering with volunteers and staff. I also hold current IOSH qualifications and competent in writing risk assessments within the charitable sector.

Responsibilities included managing the daily operation of a Retail, Admissions & Membership business to include managing housekeeping and front line teams.To delivering excellent standards of customer service and act as a trainer for WWT on customer service standards.To leading and inspiring your diverse team of people to perform at their best and to maintain KPI's and agreed targets on visitation, admission and membership.To be creative sourcing new ranges and merchandising of product ranges so to increasing spend per head so that profits can be invested into charities work.To ensure staff and volunteers have direction to meet the overall strategy of the business.

I was responsible for supporting the delivery of the DofE programme, monitoring and enhancing the quality of delivery, supporting Licensed Organisations and training delivery. I was responsible for working with the volunteer training team and organising training for a wide variety of audiences and the implementation of the Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme in N. Ireland. I was also responsible for the promotion of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award/Joint Award Initiative programme throughout Northern Ireland and sat on a variety of working groups and projects. I organised a young leader training programme and its delivery in N. Ireland through funding from the Youth Council. I had to resign to care for a family member for 6 months.

I was a senior manager for Girlguiding Ulster and managed a wide variety of teams to include the business of Lorne Estate with catering/residential buildings and retail. I was responsible for managing a wide variety of staff and volunteers and to also line manage the retail supervisor and catering manager. I was successful in securing income for Girlguiding Ulster and project led a wide variety of funded projects to include Heritage Lottery Funding, Trusts and foundations funding. I deputised for the Executive Manager and was a signatory on the bank account. My role covered business management, operations, administration and finance along with communications. I developed and created the website to meet the needs of the charity. I was responsible for communication of N. Ireland events and programmes and to ensure full operation was successful and profitable, I managed many different partnerships with business, other charities and represented Girlguiding on a wide variety of groups and Committees.

To manage all Visitor Services and line manage Heads of Department at a large historic house and gardens. Manage all events, weddings and catering within the estate and to work with staff and volunteers to meet targets and objectives. Reason for leaving was offered a permanent more senior position in Girlguiding.
