With nearly two decades of experience in computer graphics and filmmaking, my journey began at Blue Sky Studios, where I specialized in procedural surfacing and advanced shading models. Collaborating closely with the R&D team, I contributed to enhancing our proprietary renderer, CGI Studio++.My extensive experience with a proprietary offline renderer provided me with a profound understanding of the essential principles necessary for achieving a stylized rendering approach. This knowledge became invaluable as I transitioned to working with the Unreal Engine, a transformative move in my career.Equipped with both knowledge and a passion for teaching filmmaking in Unreal Engine, I joined the education team at Epic Games. There, I mentored and guided filmmakers, harnessing real-time technology to fulfill diverse creative needs. During my teaching experience, I not only explored the engine's limits but also developed innovative approaches to work around and transcend those limitations through rapid iteration processes.We're at an incredible nexus of change in how we are making and experiencing entertainment.
