Registered Nurse
CurrentI am a nurse on the cardiovascular unit. I preform patient assessments, pass medications, monitor patient's telemetry and vital signs, communicate with physicians, educate patients and their families. I also have a position that focuses the admit and discharge processes. I focus on obtaining accurate medication reconcilliation and health histories. I also discharge patients. For those discharging, I gather patient education, I make follow up appointments, set up follow up tests, fax the discharge summary and medication lists to their primary providers, and then review everything with the patient and their family. I am on our unit practice councel, I am a clinical ambassador for our hospital. I am on the medication reconcilliation committee and a member of professional growth. I also help precept new nurses.
