I’m an experienced communication and community engagement professional, specialising in conservation and environmental fields. I’ve spent more than two decades working with a wide range of people and organisations raising awareness of, and igniting interest in, our natural world. Highlights include leading a national programme of innovative community partnerships across New Zealand for the NZ Department of Conservation and directing work for the Nature Through Arts Trust to create experimental projects that empower young people and communities to enact change. I’m a professional journalist and have written extensively about NZ conservation and made several short films. Most of all I love collaborating on creative projects that ‘make a difference.’ I'm currently undertaking a research Masters with Victoria University's School of Science in Society.
