I have spent over 20 years in the film media, with senior editorial and published writing experience. I am currently Deputy Reviews Editor at Screen International.Ihave contributed to a variety of print and online outlets, including Empire, BFI, Sight & Sound, movieScope, Film Review, Little White Lies, Filmstar, Kodak's In Camera, BBC Online, The List and Screen International.I began my career as editorial assistant at Film Review magazine, and worked my way up to become the publication's first female editor. I left Film Review to become editor of movieScope magazine, the quarterly publication dedicated to the craft of filmmaking and the international industry. Having overseen a complete editorial and design change, I successfully shaped the magazine to appeal both to global consumers and advertisers, as well as maintaining its individual and authoritative voice.I was nominated for Editor of the Year 2011 (Business and Professional Non-Weekly) by the British Society of Magazine Editors for my work on movieScope.I am a member of the London Critics Circle Film Section, Women in Film and TV and Alliance of Women Film Journalists, and have appeared on both local and national radio as a film critic and expert. I am also an approved Rotten Tomato Critic.My passion is with film and culture publishing (either in print or online), and I'm always interested in hearing about any new opportunities.
