Responsible for supporting and leading the Credentialing department which consists of Onboarding and Compliance Specialists and Licensing team in a fast-paced, growing company.Responsible for conducting biweekly check-ins, leading department and interdepartmental meetings, conducting quarterly evaluations, hosting trainings, creating SOPs and implementing process changes. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimizations.

Lead and oversaw 4 credentialing managers, outsourced team, and 10 onboarding specialists while providing coverage for other leaders.This role required constant collaboration with executives and leaders from different departments. During this experience, I also assisted with TJC audit. This was a temporary role during a leader’s LOA.

In addition to the Onboarding and Compliance Specialist responsibilities, I was responsible for supporting the Credentialing Manager, training new hires and being a resource for the team.

In addition to Compliance Specialist responsibilities, the role was responsible for onboarding healthcare providers for their upcoming assignments. Responsibilities included open communication and collaboration with travelers, interdepartmental peers, and clients (MSPs and healthcare facilities) in order to meet compliance requirements. The role required auditing and extensive knowledge on The Joint Commission standards and state requirements. Under normal conditions, turnaround expectations were 4 weeks with every credentialing specialist at 20-30 travelers assigned. During COVID, I was able to clear travelers with an average of 2 weeks to meet demands and my workload ranged from 40-70 travelers.
