Manage the Individual Development Account (IDA) program at SEI.

To plan mentoring events for the Training to Work program, to interview, train and coordinate volunteer transition coaches. To network with community partners, businesses, individuals and organizations in order to create a community of support for the Training to Work program.

To provide services to the individuals participating in the new Multnomah County Justice Reinvestment Project during the interim period prior to hiring a full time Employment specialist for this new program.

To work with individuals with barriers to employment due to criminal backgrounds and assist them in job search, resumes, networking, interviewing, etc. To work closely with community partners to ensure the success of the participants in the program. To connect with and develop relationships with community organizations, the business communities and individuals to create a community network of support.

With Providence Home Services, I am the primary AP specialist with the Network department. We process claims and pay contracted providers all over Oregon and SW Washington. This position includes maintaining payment schedules, awareness of contracts and authorization requirements, customer service and medical terminology. I have also been the Regional diversity liaison for Home Services and have served on the MEAD committee and the Safety committee as a Safety representative.

As the Co-president for Women of Paradise, I have been working with my partner to start a non-profit women’s shelter where our focus is to assist women who are in need of support and housing due to various life circumstances. I have focused on working with those women who are in need of a Domestic violence (DV)/Sexual Assault (SA) advocate, since I am a DV/SA advocate. We currently focus on assisting women in finding the assistance that they need from the existing organizations in the area.

At Portland Women’s Crisis Line (PWCL) I am a volunteer Advocate. I have worked on the Crisis Line and assisting callers in working through different situations. I have also done volunteer work with PWCL for their annual fundraiser. I have completed their Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate training.

With Employment Trends I worked at Providence Home Services under Janet Still in the Network Services department. I worked on special projects.

As an office temp for Apple One I have been employed with Land America Title Co. My responsibilities with Land America included; proofing of preliminary and final stage files, searching for documents, recording documents, answering phones and maintaining a positive interdepartmental work environment.

As the cash lead my primary duties include; creating and maintaining positive relationships with clients, processing returns and sales, proper money handling and helping sales associates on the floor.

As a shift supervisor my duties include; running the store when the manager and assistant manager are off floor duty by maintaining positive customer relations, keeping other employees on task and guaranteeing accurate register pulls and deposits for the store. As the Art director I was in charge of all aspects of the monthly art shows including First Thursday. Other duties: training new employees, sales, opening/closing the store.

As a front end clerk my primary duty was to make sure that our customers received excellent customer service from knowledgeable staff. Other duties included proper cash handling, opening and closing store and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
