In the 3+ years I’ve been at Hinge Health, I have led research at all stages for Women's Pelvic Health program as well as for a Medicare Advantage-focused program. This includes broad discovery work, running complex continuous discovery feedback loops during pilots, feature specific tests, and training/coaching designers and product managers around how to engage with users effectively. From this work I’ve been able to de-risk big bets into new markets and devices, deliver prioritized feature sets for both launch and post-launch, and build an embodied knowledge base about critical user groups that designers, product managers, business strategists, content creators, coach managers, and more reply upon for quick decision-making.Key achievements:> Research outcomes directly led to Hinge Health acquiring 20K new members and laying the groundwork for future growth in 2024 with the successful launch of the Women's Pelvic Health Program in March 2023.> During the fall of 2022, user research conducted in a pilot program led to the recommendation of guided breathing as an essential feature. This resulted in a 1.81% increase in billable activities for 2023, projected to reach 2.8% by mid-2024. Additionally, retention at Week 4 increased by 6.2%.> Mitigated investment risk in a pelvic trainer partnership by assessing user interest, gathering feedback from device users, and prioritizing essential features for user satisfaction and business success.> Successfully incorporates trauma-informed and AI-led approaches into user research practices.

In the 5 years I worked at WW, I led user experience research projects to advocate for what WW members need and why to inform product and service design. In my qualitative research at WW, I developed global communication tools to articulate user needs across the company, as well as uncovered deep customer insights that were used to inform strategic initiatives. My role is responsible for leading user research and design-thinking workshops to a wide range of companies that includes Clorox, FitBit, Intuitive Surgical, Kiva, Wikipedia, and Glide. In addition, I coach clients on their UX design challenges, and teach and write design curriculum.Key achievements:> Led a team of interaction designers and product managers through a user research program I created, to help them uncover customer insights to improve upon an existing product within a financial services company. > Identified key customer insights that were used to inform the client's vision for the next 3-5 years. The engagement included contextual interviews, identifying customer insights, engaging stakeholders in prioritization, and developing a long term strategy to improve the customer experience across products and services. For this project, I worked with the client’s executive team, as well as their engineering and product manager teams. > Authored and regularly teach a 2 day workshop to teach UX and service professionals a customer focused design approach. Kalban & Associates is an award-winning architecture firm dedicated to melding the aesthetics of art and architecture, art and function, and its constantly evolving expertise and interest in design.My role was responsible for assisting with drafting for multiple small architecture projects to complete plans, elevations, and sections for drawing sets. I also researched code compliance to align projects with ADA, city sustainability guidelines, and regional building codes.
