I am a case manager working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Advocacy is always a central part of my work. Assisting others in tapping into their strengths and resources is very empowering for both my clients and as a service provider. Although I have a degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Management, I've been able to use the skills I learned from my undergraduate degree. Some of these skills include looking at systems of care coordination in a broader or "big picture" perspective, while also analyzing where improvements could be made financially, time-wise, or emotionally for clients. Also, one of the prime principles of the EHS program is the safety and well-being of the individuals I'm working with as an up-most priority. My English Minor has also served me well in my daily work through both verbal and written communications. Lastly, whether I have the opportunity and privilege to work as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, or as an EHS Manager or Subject Matter Expert, meeting the agency mission statement and improving lives are a core part of my drive and ethics.
