Since its inception in 1984, the Genetics and IVF Institute have helped thousands of couples start and grow their families. I assisted the hospital administration through spearheading the effort to address injection safety and tuberculosis infection risk. This was done through creating, executing and analyzing a KAP survey to healthcare workers. The data established a baseline of staff’s knowledge for further monitoring. I also contributed to the newly formed Research and Ethics Committee. Furthermore I gave a presentation to increase the staff’s knowledge on the application of Qualitative research and its implications in healthcare. My time at RFM Hospital was my MPH program's practicum experience, which I presented to the heads of the MPH program as well as the mayor of Fairfax City, Virginia.
