Assisted Communications Director in creating editorial calendar and advertising and promotion plan. Continued writing weekly e-newsletter and producing content for the organizations social media accounts. Shopped for an agency to help execute a re-branding effort, assisted in creating copy for new printed materials. Was responsible for collecting and analyzing data to track our social media efforts and website traffic. Was a speaker at the 2016 PASA Farming For the Future conference, the 80 minute workshop was titled "Successful Farmers Market Management and Marketing". Following the conference I published an article based on the workshop in the May 2016 issue of Growing for Market Magazine.

I compile the weekly FRESHFARM Markets E-Newsletter which is sent out to over 7,000 subscribers each week. I aggregate recipes that feature market ingredients, round up new and notable foods & products in season and write original market related feature stories, both for the E-Newsletter and for the FRESHFARM Markets blog and social media outlets. Conduct site visits to ensure farmers and producers in our network meet and adhere to our producer-only rules and regulations. Also have spoken at CASA Future Harvest & Rooting DC conferences, giving practical tips to eating local all year-round.

Penn Quarter, Foggy Bottom

Weekly on-site management of the Penn Quarter FRESHFARM market from setup to breakdown. Work market information booth, act as the liason between famers/producers and FRESHFARM management. Assist with credit card and EBT transactions and manage on site distribution of our matching dollars program tokens for WIC/SNAP and SFMNP benefit recipients.

I was hired as a freelancer to help produce Crafty Bastards, a two-day indie arts and crafts fair that attracts over 20,000 attendees. I helped the Festival Director with communications to applicants and vendors and worked the check in booth on site during the festival. I managed social media accounts for Crafty Bastards, using twitter and facebook to push ticket sales, festival information, sponsor messages and vendor's work in progress. I also utilized pinterest to creatively feature juried vendors work from the vendor gallery on Washington City Paper's website before the event and used Instagram to feature vendor booths, sponsors and more the days of the event.
