Let's face it, we're not all writers. Your mind might be swelling with ideas, but finding the time to put them into words that work for your business (and clients) is a completely different story. That's where I come in. I am one of those people who will geek-out on a well-written article, and knows all those wordy rules (definitely comes in handy when playing Wordle). But, I'm also that person who gets the sensitivity and importance of your business and the services you offer. You see, my copywriting journey and the whole idea of 'doin' it for myself' was born from both necessity and passion. I had worked in marketing for many years, and loved the writing side of things, but as a mum to two beautiful kids and a fury one (a beaglier), I wanted (and needed) the flexibility that working for myself could offer.Supporting the needs of my autistic child and the general needs of my family pushed me to take that leap, and it afforded me the opportunity to work with wonderful clients who support the needs of other families and are striving for their own version of success. But what about your words?Yep, personal interests drove me to start my business, but what has propelled me into the Allied Health space (and working directly for an amazing private practice) was noticing the 'mind your step' kind of gap that is present in this profession when it comes to copywriting and content.Unfortunately, the amazing work you do, doesn't always speak for itself. Communication is so important in this space, particularly when it comes to making your client's feel empowered about their health choices and what steps to take next.Utilising my own experiences, writing skills and marketing knowledge; I help business owners and teams craft words that connect with those they are talking to (clients, your team members, other professionals, educators, GPs), appease the algorithm (Google) Gods and present that personal touch - the icing on the cupcake if, you will. I was lucky enough to co-ordinate and manage this prestigious from 2014 to 2017 and saw the Awards go from strength to strength. As the event co-ordinator and manager, I was responsible for securing sponsorship, developing and executing a marketing and publicity strategy, collating entries, co-ordinating the judging, and ensuring the Awards Gala Dinner runs effectively and efficiently.
