I'm passionate about making a positive impact in the world, whether by advocating for small arts organizations through grant writing, improving systems in administrative roles, or by facilitating growth and healing in my upcoming role as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.I approach my work in the mental health field through an intersectional feminist and attachment-oriented lens and celebrate neurodiversity. In my years as an educator, I have loved working with teens especially, enjoying the passion with which they approach their struggles and the world around them. As I look forward to my practicum, internship, and eventual licensure, I hope to incorporate a biopsychosocial approach, Internal Family Systems theory, and Play Therapy into my work with clients of all ages. I am currently working as a freelance grant writer and development consultant specializing in small nonprofit arts organizations looking for funding to expand their scope. I tailor my work to the needs of my clients, creating funding calendars and development strategies as needed in addition to traditional grant writing. I understand the obstacles that arts organizations face and use my nearly 20 years of working in the arts on both coasts to provide the best services I can.In my free time, I love doing bar trivia with friends, singing karaoke, and walking my sweet rescue dog all over my White Center neighborhood.
