    When founding AXIOS Financial Services, LLC the name was selected because of the Greek definition of AXIOS--to be worthy of, deserving of, suitable and of value. In Greek this is often an acclamation. The focus of AXIOS is to assist individuals and families navigate the changing health insurance markets. We wanted our clients to know we feel they are worthy of the best in services and care. Taking a general approach from decades in financial services, we realized that what most of us value most is quality of life and our good health. To this end we work with Colorado consumers as an independent broker. We are able to assist consumers either on Connect for Health Colorado or directly with any carrier offering plans in Colorado. We specialize in assisting boomers who are also looking at long term care or extended health benefits. This area is of special importance to us at AXIOS Financial Services and can begin with putting a plan in place---either a Colorado Partnership plan or a non tax qualified plan, whichever best meets the needs of our client. This has developed into also assisting clients with Medicare planning, both Medicare Supplement plans and Medicare Advantage plans. Many of our clients are referred to us by other financial services firms and other insurance agents because of our reputation for integrity. We are grateful for the referrals and we won't step on your toes as far as your life insurance and annuity business. One of the joys working in long term care planning is that we conduct agent LTC P certification live on behalf of AD Banker.     As Founder/President I was able to fulfill a lifelong entrepreneurial goal of creating my own hybrid RIA firm. The firm was started in my basement within a year I had over 140 million in assets under management. I quickly outgrew the space and in 2000 purchased an office building added 20 full and part time employees, both support staff and professional advisors. During this time I created 469 LLC to hold the office building and lease the unused space to other tenants. I successfully ran two businesses from 2000 to 2012. I did a complete remodel of the space acting as my own general contractor and negotiated all the leases and handled all the tenant issues. I began my teaching contract with AD Banker in 2010 and discovered my passion for bringing new energy into the financial services industry. Teaching exam prep, both securities and insurance as well as coaching new entrants for a diverse selection of carriers and full service investment firms. I have assisted with business plans and closing high net worth accounts. AD Banker tapped my skills to write, create power point courses for insurance, CFP and securities CE. I’ve taught both live classes and web based classes. My pass ratio is one of the highest in AD Banker’s system. The industry research states that only 30% of first time test takers pass the first try. My statistics are three times greater than the industry average. I’ve also tracked my students and while only 20% of new insurance agents are in the industry after two years, my students are still working at twice the national average. This saves their employers tens of thousands in recruiting and training salaries. I am passionate about creating “rock star” advisors for our industry. As a former rock star, I have the credibility with new hires. I might also mention that I’ve never had a consumer complaint and I’m just as proud of my ethical service to my clients as I am the retention and sales success.

I wrote and created a consumer based investment program that aired daily. We would often shoot from the local Bache office or a coffee shop where I would answer questions posed by consumers. The program was live and very popular. It also put me on the radar for my eventual move to Denver as the regional management team for Merrill Lynch saw my program and recruited me to join the flagship office downtown Denver.
