Business & Finance works to help find and secure funding for UVSA South, as well as strengthen the relationship with past businesses and sponsors. The region relies on the Business and Finance Committee to secure operating funds and come up with new, innovative ways to strengthen relationships with business partners.

We are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of young leaders to serve as stewards for the Vietnamese community.This spring, we are excited to host our 12th annual Leadership Summit — a weekend-long conference designed to connect and impact young leaders from across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas with one another through team-building exercises, professional development workshops, and more. This year's Summit will be held in Fayetteville, AR for the first time in history. As Hospitality Member, I oversee staff training to prepare everyone with the knowledge on how to respond to any situation at any given time. I am also responsible for procuring materials needed for the weekend like catering, goodie bag materials, etc.

Young leaders learn how to build and maintain organizations through workshops and constructive activities.As Hospitality and Registration Committee Member, I oversaw the Attendee Registration Portal and assisted with procuring necessary materials for the committee. We are also tasked with responding to emergency situations if they arise and are responsible for staff training so that they are also able to respond if available.

This year's Summit will be held in Arlington, TX, from April 7th-9th.As Logistics committee member, I work with my team to ensure all attendees are accounted for and their needs like transportation are met. My team and I are also responsible for knowing the schedule minute-by-minute and addressing any issue that arises throughout the weekend.

I was an intern for the Springdale Region (SPR) and shadowed all departments like Sales, Wealth Management, and Marketing. Throughout these different roles, I lend a hand for their specific project while also working on my own intern project - "How to Promote Diversity in the Banking Industry". I addressed the issue and provided multiple solutions to help promote the banking industry to Women and People of Color.
