I provided an in-depth mandatory safety training, wall orientation, and equipment overview to all patrons. I functioned as a resource to all climbers for training regiments, individual climbing guidance, and as an instructor for anyone trying something new. I easily engaged with all patrons and I strived to make even the most introverted patrons feel safe and welcome with my warm and approachable disposition, fluid conversational skills, professional demeanor, and sense of humor. I am enthusiastic about my work, and I maintained positive co-worker relationships by being reliable and respectful.My responsibilities included:• Assisting with climbing wall programming, training, and maintenance • Politely but firmly teaching and enforcing safety measures• Managing day-to-day operations of climbing wall• Stripping the wall and creating new bouldering and top rope routes on a bi-weekly basis• Researching and recommending needed equipment and supplies to purchase • Providing feedback regarding departmental programs, equipment, and operations by conducting daily observations/engaging in programs and using equipment/facilities. • Maintaining positive co-worker relationships and fostering an environment of trust and inclusion. • Contributing positively to the work environment by participating in honest dialog that is indicative of the department’s culture of teamwork.• Providing staff coverage during evenings, weekends, and special events as determined by department & function need.
