I am a dedicated educator currently serving as the Career Services Educator and liaison to the College of Liberal Arts at Texas State University. As a proud first-generation student and a current PhD student in Educational and Community Leadership, I am deeply committed to lifelong learning and passionate about supporting first-generation college students through research and programming.In my roles, I aid students in achieving success in their academic pursuits and beyond. My dynamic career has allowed taken me from secondary classroom teacher teaching a diverse range of subjects including Mathematics, Multimedia, Social Studies, and AVID College and Career Preparation, to AVID Site Coordinator. During my time as a K-12 educator I also completed my Master of Education in Instructional Design to further enrich my instructional scope and ability. In my current roles I continue to empower students through one-on-one advising, workshop, and as a Seminar Instructor teaching a freshman seminar course for first-year, first-generation students. I am enthusiastic about continuing my journey as a lifelong learner and educator. I look forward to connecting and collaborating to empower students and foster a culture of achievement at Texas State University!
