For most of my adult life (since 2007), I have been working as a nurse at the National Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark. There, I have been employed at the paediatric semi-intensive ward (5061) and the paediatric bone-marrow transplant ward (TXID 4063). I have always been very creative, which up until 2018 primarily took the form of painting, but also some other pursuits, like writing. At that time, I discovered computer-programming and took it up as a hobby, mainly focused on game-development. It quickly grew to be my main interest, and by fall 2020, I had decided to switch careers to software development. Thus, since fall 2021, I am attending the University of Copenhagen with the goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a job as a programmer.As for my programming experience: I have been writing my own games since 2018. As of now, I am working on a software-rendered first-person game in a 3D-capable engine which I have written from scratch. As part of game development, I have also written several tools, such as level-editors and pixel-art editors. The majority of my own work has been done in C++, but the last (and most sophisticated) of the pixel-art tools was written in C. It was a decently sized project which took me about 6 months to bring to a polished state and is probably my best work to-date.During my last semester at the computer science programme, I did a so-called "bachelor project", in which I focused on learning about processor pipeline design and learned the basics of custom instruction design for RISC-V-based processors, using the processor descriptive language CodAL (by Codasip, who also supplied the course-material I used). Though I still lack some credits before I can get my bachelor's degree, the programme I was attending has concluded and I am looking for jobs parallel to pursuing those final academic points.
