I've started out my carrier at Opera as a developer coding C++ on the BREW platform, then moved on to work with Java and multiple other mobile platforms. I have since transitioned into a project manager role and I have worked with multiple projects and numerous of teams split over many countries and time zones.The common thread over the years have always been working with mobile platforms (lately a lot of Android), creating top tier user interfaces and working on the client side of numerous client - server solutions.

I worked as a technical project manager in the team that created the well known Android web browser Opera Mini.I was responsible for defining and maintaining the overall product strategy for collecting usage statistics and also verifying that the collected data was correct. Initially Google Analytics was used for this purpose, but we later on we developed an in house cross product solution that suited our needs much better. During the development of the new system I made sure that it fulfilled all the requirements our team had.During periods I was also responsible for monetization via third party ad SDKs. By combining revenue data with usage statistics I identified improvements in how ads were shown. When we implemented the improvements we could increased the revenue without negatively impacting the user experience for the users of our product.Other responsibilities included among other things, defining and running A/B tests, coordinating work with other teams and departments, assisting the team leader with driving day to day work.

I worked as a technical project manager in the teams that developed the popular web browsers Opera for Andriod and Opera Mini for iOS. The products were rewritten from scratch to get a more modern and native look and feel.My main responsibilities included coordinating our work with other teams with regards to cross product features, keeping track of requirements and doing technical feasibility studies of proposed features and in other ways assisting the team leader.I also stepped in as as acting team leader for several months managing 4 developers while the ordinary team leader was on parental leave.

I worked as the technical lead in a project that resulted in the "Smart Page" which was introduced in Opera Mini 7 for feature phones and Opera Mini 7.5 for Android. The system we developed was made up of several logically and physically different sub-systems implemented in different environments and languages. Each of these sub-systems were developed by different teams situated in different locations.As the technical lead I had the overall responsibility for the implementation of the product and I worked closely together with the project manager to assist with defining requirements and priorities as well as providing deeper technical knowledge of the product. It was also my responsibility to coordinate the work between the different development teams and to insure that nothing fell trough the cracks between the different teams.

Worked as a developer, implementing the unified user interface that was used for the products Opera Mini versions 5 to 7 and Opera Mobile 10 - 12 on a wide variety of mobile platforms such as Android, iOS, J2ME, Blackberry, Windows Phone, BREW and more.

I worked as the lead developer for two major deliveries of the Opera Mobile web browser to the Japanese mobile phone operator KDDI. Both projects were very challenging with tough schedules and with very high quality demands but the customer were satisfied with the product in the end. The browser was included on most of the of the BREW based "au" phones that KDDI released during this time period.My main responsibilities included answering technical questions from customers and coordinating the work within the development team (at times up to 15 developers).
