In January 2024 I joined Hamilton Medical as a Software Engineer for Ventilators and I am eager to help improve the treatment of patients all around the world, while simultaneously refining my engineering skills.Before that, I successfully defended my master thesis at the Cortical Physiology Lab of the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and got the opportunity to present it at the 2023 Conference of the American Epilepsy Society. My thesis focused on building machine learning models for epilepsy screening. In my past I have had the opportunity to gather a wealth of experiences in various fields, starting with majoring in Latin and History in high school, followed by my BSc in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and internships in IT Innovation, Cyber Security and Finance. I have come to learn that I am most fascinated by the interdisciplinary aspects of any domain that I have worked in, which has led me to my MSc in Biomedical Engineering. This field incorporates my love for both engineering and natural sciences with a substantial potential for innovation, especially for the benefit of those who are medically less fortunate. By working on different projects, with neuromorphic hardware, translational neuromodeling and (s)EEG data analysis, I have developed a passion for Computational Neuroscience in combination with Machine Learning.Insatiable curiosity is what drives me daily and, together with outstanding attention to detail, allows me to tackle problems of any complexity.
