As a licensed architect and design researcher I focus on understanding the relationship between the built environment and people’s experiences and behaviors, in the design of buildings. In my work, I integrate design, research methodologies and data analytics to deliver data-informed and outcomes-driven designs that elevate the human experience and foster wellbeing. My skillset lies on the intersection of architectural design, research methodologies / tools, and data analytics. I have been involved in all phases of architecture design - from project strategy, conceptual design, design development and construction documents to project implementation. My research skills involve use of qualitative and quantitative methods to help uncover the needs, wants and motivations of the project stakeholders and to understand the project context. Leveraging environmental and spatial analytics, I develop and implement tools to help design teams make data-informed design decisions.I am active in the community by serving on the leadership committee of AIA Detroit Computational Design Group and through my involvement in multiple Citizen HKS projects – a public-interest design initiative within HKS Architects. I currently work as an architect within the research group of HKS Architects.
