Nikolai Thyssen is a Danish editor and journalist. He currently serves as head of news and digital at DR Medier, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, overseeing among other things the upcoming election and other major events, breaking news and the digitization of news formats and documentaries. He comes from a newspaper background and has worked as a journalist, editor and director of digital strategy at the Danish daily Dagbladet Information and was the cofounder and editor in chief of Føljeton, at startup news magazine. He has been awarded with the prestigious journalistic fellowship at the University of Southern Denmark and has studied literature and philosophy at Copenhagen University and the University of California, Berkeley.
