Stanlow (Oil Refinery)

Stanlow oil refineryi worked on the oil refinery as a telehandler driver, for hertel, starting on the alcohol units shut down. Once that was complete I was transferred to a new build project on the refinery. then from the beginning of this year I was involved with the block one shut down on the refinery. Carrington

I worked on the carrington ccgt from the very beginning of the project until the very end. I was involved with all the materials that came on to the site. Making sure they were stored safely and correctly in the lay down areas or in the warehouses. If cranes were needed I would make sure they were set up in the right place for the lift and collect the relevant paperwork, As well as being involved with the lift using various lifting equipment.I was majorly involved with getting all the… Show more I worked on the carrington ccgt from the very beginning of the project until the very end. Using various sizes of telehandler’s and fork trucks , HGV’s with a hi ab, tractors with trailed implaments. Or using cherry pickers and scissor lifts on site.I was also part of the Emergency response team throughout the whole of the project. We assisted Manchester medical in all site emergency’s. We had practice emergency’s weekly to keep us alert and prepared. We had endless amounts of training to be prepared for any emergency. Show less
