My primary objective is to help people live more freely through technology. Learning the tools in both software and hardware engineering has helped me come one step closer to achieving these goals.Having graduated from NCSU, research has been integral to my education. From creating a guide to stretchable conductors for users to learn more about stretchable electronics to developing heating methods using 2D phase-change materials for use in RF switches, research has helped me gain an appreciation for the investment in knowledge growth and sharing.In 2019, I was a part of the Social Innovation Fellows at NCSU, where I worked with a team to help solve the issue around tobacco farmworkers' working conditions in North Carolina - in that they do not have the necessary protection they need when working around pesticides. Our contribution towards a solution included designing a hemp-based garment for farmworkers to wear which would better help block pesticides from seeping through traditional under-protective garments.During my final year engineering capstone project, I worked with IBM; I used my skillset in software engineering to help create a simulation of telescope networks that simultaneously communicate with one another to observe celestial events all over the world. And today, I hold a Master of Engineering Management with a focus in Software Development from Duke University where I've learned the technical and business acumen to be the best leader I can be. I've taken this growth of knowledge with me through my startup Clean E, and my professions as a Staff Software Engineer at ARA.
