Lead Engineer
CurrentFollowing the success of Imaging Platform, I have been appointed to lead a team of ~15 engineers to build AWS-based platform foundation for AZ’s In Vivo domain software. This included development of several new cloud-native applications, as well as maintaining existing COTS and bespoke applications used across the domain. Newly built components include a data integration solution (featuring AWS StepFunctions, Lambda, Glue) that FAIRified data across over a dozen of very diverse data capture systems consisting of a mix of DBs, fileshares, Sharepoint sites, spreadsheets and API-based data sources, which was loaded into S3 and Snowflake database to make it available for downstream processing and analysis. I have also established a very efficient serverless intranet web application architecture pattern (based on AWS ALB, S3 and Lambda) which enabled simple and cheap deployment of several ReactJS web applications with Python and Java microservice backend. Running a proper DevOps model and strictly following TDD/BDD and other best practices ensures seamless and timely delivery of high-quality solutions, massively over-performing planned scope.
