CurrentResponsible for supervision and management of all technical and related depart-ments onboard.Provide reliable operation of the vessel’s engines, machinery and all other me-chanical equipment.Ordering of all necessary equipment, spare parts, fuel, oil, chemical.Supervise or delegate responsible supervision to another engineering officer for any “hot work” performed onboard.Apply, follow and encourage Company policy and procedures in the performance of all tasks, with special… Show more Responsible for supervision and management of all technical and related depart-ments onboard.Provide reliable operation of the vessel’s engines, machinery and all other me-chanical equipment.Ordering of all necessary equipment, spare parts, fuel, oil, chemical.Supervise or delegate responsible supervision to another engineering officer for any “hot work” performed onboard.Apply, follow and encourage Company policy and procedures in the performance of all tasks, with special emphasis on the protection of the environment and pollu-tion prevention.Ensure make Company policy and procedure is rigorously maintained with all technical and engineering related job and task planning, with special emphasis on the correct use and application of PPE , safety equipment, Risk Assessment, JSA use, Check-list, Pre-task “tool box talks” and all other safety precautions relating to job and task performance.Planning and supervise technical and engineering related operations including the corrective and preventative maintenance and inspection of the vessel’s equip-ment, machinery and associated plants in accordance with all safe working prac-tices.Make analyze and report any technical problems, making recommendations and assisting as applicable with any corrective maintenance , temporary and perma-nent repairs.Prepare and maintain all technical department related log-books, documentation and filing including when necessary, the preparation of dry dock and other repair related reports.Load and discharge fuel and other bulk cargoes as applicable and conjunction with the vessel’s accepted procedures.Monitoring, checking and reporting as necessary, fuel and lubricating oil consump-tion.Maintain discipline, reviewing the performance and providing written evaluations of officers and rating assigned to work in technical/engineering department, in-cluding those reports that may be required for disciplinary reasons.
