I received my bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in Counseling from the School of Public Health at Indiana University. I have completed several internships at various sites, all pertaining to my degree and interests. I worked as a research assistant in the Counseling & Educational Psychology Department to Dr. Rex Stockton in the School of Education at IU. I completed office-related tasks and data entry for several projects that he was working on in Botswana, Africa.I took a gap year in 2020 after graduating from Indiana University. During this time, I worked full-time at New Opportunities Inc., a non-profit organization in Northwest Connecticut dedicated to helping individuals in the community who lack access to certain resources due to low income or lack of employment. While there, I worked as a case manager, and my job consisted of helping my clients address the different issues they face as they're applying for jobs, looking for housing, or applying for various government services.In 2021, I started attending NYU’s Mental Health & Wellness Masters Program where I pursued my masters in mental health counseling. During this time, I completed various internships that pertained to mental health and substance use counseling. After graduating in 2023, I made the decision to move to the Phoenix area and pursue work in the mental healthcare field.
