AeroSpec’s technology measures the chemical composition of air pollution - providing detailed analysis on its source, its makeup, and potential health effects. We provide comprehensive and actionable data that empowers research labs and environmental agencies to improve air quality and global health. High levels of particulate matter (PM) is associated with 7 million premature deaths worldwide and additional health effects. 84% of the global population is currently exposed to levels higher than recommended limits. Controlling air pollution requires informative monitoring, but understanding the chemical constituents that comprise PM is both technically challenging and cost-prohibitive.

Design and Fabrication of on-line device for atmospheric aerosol sampling and spectroscopy analysis. The aim is to the characterize fictionalization of organic aerosols at high time resolution by developing a new sampling device.

The company wanted to develop a new product (Calcium Grease) and implement it in its existing manufacturing facility, with minimal changes. After taking up the project, I was successful in experimenting on the product, setting up a pilot batch reactor and commissioning the product on small scale. Later, I was involved in modifying a currently installed 1 KL reactor based on proper scale up from the pilot plant. The commissioning of the product on large scale is in process.

Process Design and Calculations for Chemical Industries, from schematic to sizing.The company is currently dealing in many new products for international customers. My work is in doing mass balance, preparing batch flow sheet, waste management system, equipment selection, drawing PFD and P&IDs, designing safety interlocks and HSE analysis. Layout and detailed equipment specification is also done.

Design, Implementation and Evaluation of a Cryogenic stage for Combined Cryofixation and Optical Microscopy of Biological SamplesThe work involved developing and analysing a cryogenic stage to be used for vitrification of biological samples.

Design and fabrication of micro-system for real-time transport characterization.Design and fabrication of micro-fluidic system to create an interface between a flowing channel and a stationary biomimetic hydrogel layer that can be used to characterise the transport of molecules selectively from the flowing channel into the stationary layer. With this system, real-time transport of biomolecules through various selectively permeable membrane present throughout life systems and begin to be studied and understood.

Design and hydraulic calculations of Raw water treatment plant and Demineralization plantThe project is a detailed study of the sizing and hydraulic calculation of water treatment and demineralisation plant which finds large application in Power Plants. The project aims at understanding all the basic parts in both the plants, the flow system and performing necessary calculations to design the plant.
