As an Operations Intern I directly assist the Vice President and the Director of Operations in the logistics and daily operation of the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation. Some of my tasks include:-Event Management, from the logistics as well as planning of robotics competitions featuring anywhere from 32 to a thousand teams, to the on-site team management coordination of numerous staff members and volunteers of all ages. -Web Management, utilized in conjunction with expanding the Foundation’s image by reaching out further to connect with robotics teams and organizations through the use of Twitter/Facebook. I also assist our head web developer maintaining the roboticseducation.org website to keep content up to date and running smoothly. -Data Tracking/Research, conducted research on title one schools to target with various grants or programs. My daily tasks also include organized documentation of data such as grants, statistics, and financial information through the use of spreadsheets and database file management.-Project/Project Leadership, spearheading group projects and solo projects alike, ranging from generating documentation, statistic calculators, to event set-up and staffing. -Travel/Outreach, frequent travel via air to meet with partners and staff to either discuss tactics or begin preparation to follow through with an outreach program.
