Supervisor of the secondary operations, which are the ones not following the standard process of a screw: cold forging - heat treatment - coating - packaging. Basically involving CNC lathes and thread rolling, but also grinding, microencapsulation, milling, straightening and 100% automatic selection.Some of my responsibilities are:- Leading a team of more than 30 persons, working in 3 shifts.- Plan and optimize the daily workload of the different sections and machines.- Working on the feasibility of the new projects, from the design of the tooling (if needed) until the final manufacturing of the part.- Implementing the continuous improvement work system focused on the Toyota 5S.- Creating and following different KPIs, in order to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and identify improving opportunities on which to determine actions to be applied.And also working with the commercial and planning departments in order to improve the visibility of the manufacturing process and the shipment forecasts, through these different points:- Implementing a systematic to foresee the index of occupation of the different machines, in order to give accurate delivery dates to the customers during the quotation process.- Working in the grouping of parts in families, in order to speed up the cold forging process, decreasing the change time between parts and thus improving the general lead-time during high occupation periods.- The optimization of the different sections to anticipate bottlenecks, thus maintaining the minimum total process time for each piece and speeding up the sales while maintaining the stocks to the minimum possible.
