As a Software Engineer/Senior Web Developer I have been greatly involved in designing and development of large scale commercial web sites, web portals and web based applications. I designed Web and Software User Interface (UI) using Adobe Photoshop and other designing tools such as Illustrator which then turned into working prototypes or fully functional application using Dreamweaver or Visual Studio and at some times Notepad. Design and build databases in SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle was a part of many projects I've worked during this period. At the same time I've created some Multimedia presentations in Flash and PowerPoint for the company and for our clients. Overseeing Junior Developers on web/software projects, coordinating with clients and project team in system requirement gathering and project planning enriched my capabilities of handling projects with lot of confidence from initial design to the end. Website optimisation, performance analysis, SEO and propose recommendations on how to improve web sites and applications kept me up-to-date with ever changing web technologies and best practices.

I started my career as a web assistant at TheWicket.com which was an online cricket magazine. It was a perfect foundation for me where I was given the opportunity to learn from the senior developers and to try my own creative ideas to make the website better. I held the responsibility to carryout regular updates such as adding news articles, live cricket scores, photos, audio and video content on daily basis. We did syndicate content from Reuters and other sources including some of the well known sports writes around the world. At the same time I was involved in creating XML content for Yahoo cricket news section. I was able master the HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, classic ASP and exploited the tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, VSS, XML Spy and Notepad.
