Project efforts have involved (also please see the previous 3 initiatives below which have more specifics on more recent activities): executing cyber security and physical security initiatives on Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) projects, implementing solutions in order to comply with federal regulations, complex cyber asset inventory and categorization efforts, compliance audit preparation, applying technical security solutions to eliminate and/or mitigate vulnerabilities, leading teams (directly and indirectly involving masses of people), implementing new telecommunications systems, deploying innovative call center functionality, and guiding organizations in creating a repertoire of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans. Provide leadership to ensure the needs of all stakeholders are met and frequently evaluate projects to ensure they remain in scope and are on target to meet required milestones and deadlines. Prepare reports and various communications for all levels of the organizations associated with the projects, including executive level/steering committee level presentations. Develop materials and tools to facilitate clients in meeting their organizational goals.

Accepted the challenge to lead and establish a brand new project/initiative, in a newly created role, and formed a new team within the organization that was to be built to lead a multi-million dollar project to its’ success. Drove a Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish the vendor for a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product. Assisted during contract negotiations including thorough review of all contract materials through closure of the deal on behalf of the state of AZ. Handled all major project communications between the organization, the customers and the vendor. Reported about the project on multiple fronts to all 3 branches of government; presenting both written and verbally monthly and quarterly reports, in addition to change management reports when needed. Created a cohesive team comprising of several teams across multiple agencies in order to make this project and its’ execution most effective for the state of AZ. Ability to pivot when needed and lead with team-centric initiative. Worked efficiently and effectively with multiple teams not only within the organization, but also across the state, establishing credibility and leadership for the overall good of the project.
