I worked to ensure that all data required for healthcare insurance collection is captured by Cognizant’s Encounter Data Manager (EDM) application. I also worked as an individual contributor on a team of 10 people to resolve defects with the EDM, primarily modifying SQL stored procedures that act on the data and utilizing business rules to execute them.

I utilized dense neural networks (Python/TensorFlow) to classify sickle cells based on RGB image analysis; on a sample of 10,000+ images, a neural network was created and trained to classify >97% of cells correctly. I also attempted to predict the mean age of red blood cell populations using k-means clustering and dense neural networks. I discovered that volume and hemoglobin content of RBCs may be effective in predicting mean age, but further study is needed.
