About Niles Erickson

I am currently the Marketing Manager for Erickson Foundation Solutions, a company specializing in structural foundation repair and basement waterproofing systems. I am also passionate about coaching soccer, currently coaching at a local high school and a youth travel club.In 2009, I was initially in China for a teaching internship position, but changed gears after a year and a half and took on my first office job. Over the next 3 1/2 years in Beijing, I learned an incredible amount about coordinating projects, interview techniques, international relations, teamwork, management, communication and the list goes on. How did I succeed? Effort. A good attitude. I was teachable and a good listener. Being prepared. Strong work ethic.As any traveler knows, you learn an incredible amount just being on the road, throwing yourself into new circumstances and different surroundings. This is especially true for a solo traveler. I've volunteered in Costa Rica, taught English in China, lived in a beach town in Hawaii, fronted a cover band, I coach multiple soccer teams and have taken numerous road trips throughout the US and China.
