1 Comprehensive understanding & experience of purchasing strategies and inventory management2 Strategic Global sourcing & Procurement with focus on transforming the procurement function into a value creation group by working in collaboration with stakeholders, cross-function partners and strategic supplier alliances to generate year-over-year productivity with focus on Cost, Quality & Service.3 Hands on in procurement of CAPEX / OPEX / Spares / Projects, Plant & Machinery / Expansions etc.4 Demonstrate abilities in addressing operational issues, resolving performance bottlenecks and achieving desired objectives in Purchase, Logistics & Supply Chain, through bench-marking & industry best Practices.5 Procurement/Sourcing of Direct material which includes commodities such as High Pressure die-casting, Sintered, Stamping, Plastic, Rubber, Fasteners & assemblies.6 Responsible for the development & implementation of tactical strategy in areas of Vendor Selection, Component Development, Pricing & Project Planning.7 Conducting prelaunch technical reviews with suppliers.8 Timely costing inputs to Marketing/Sales for advance quotation towards new RFQ’s.9 New Source/dual source introduction/development, whenever required for direct & indirect materials.10 Development of components for new models and import substitution.11 Facilitate and implement continual improvement program to achieve more effective and efficient materials flow in the production process.12 Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, executive and technical, inside in the company and in our partners13 Evaluation of cost benefit analysis for localization v/s import analysis for direct materials.14 Negotiation and settle rates for newly developed components / import substitution.15 Facilitate cost reductions through various cost-effective purchases & VA VE’s.16 Supplier evaluation & Vendor Relationship Management.
