Then the second construction phase 2B, which started in April 2010 consisted of the reinforced concrete tunnel sections. In October 2011, the third phase was launched comprising the excavation and construction of the reinforced concrete underground station boxes. To which the Pearl Interchange station, was added in 2013 to be completed in March 2017.The final phases of works packages are designated as being Phases 2C2 and 2C3. and include all of the remaining works necessary to deliver a fully operational turnkey project, including depot, architectural and electromechanical works, rolling stock, track works, power supply and train control and communication systems.
