Participated in the project planning of Patient Initiated Follow-up (PIFU) Pathway for patients under the care of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) across hospitals within the Royal Free NHS London Foundation Trust. As a part of this, I had to help with the come up with the most effective way to introduce the PIFU pathway into the Trust, and how to manage previous patients who may be suitable for PIFU (i.e PIFU by default) as per the clinical protocol, as well as managing patients added after the go live date.My role involves working with my line manager and the PIFU clinical lead to navigate patients on the PIFU Pathway. I monitor the patient journey via the LUNA Validation system and deal with enquiries relating to their care. I had to liaise with Project Managers and Clinical Leads and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth launch, operation and running of the PIFU pathway. I have also had to compose means of communicating information and educating patients on PIFU and what it means for them with the help of the communications team.In addition to this, I also had general administrative responsibilities such as Admin reviewing clinical letters on DictateIT, conducting demographic checks and dealing with internal and external referrals with the help of the OAC. All data and information handling was carried out in line with the confidentiality policy and the Data Protection Act. I also helped to organise scans and chase up investigations whilst booking appointments for patients, ensuring that this was done within the National RTT targets set by the NHS where possible and that patients were aware of what was happening. Throughout their entirety of the patient's individual pathway, accurate record keeping was essential.

Working as a part of a team in a Medical Centre in North London, to provide high quality patient care, perform health checks, advise and educate patients on lifestyle changes, and ensure the practice runs smoothly with the help of my colleagues. Worked across various different Outpatient Clinics to ensure the smooth operating of clinics.As a part of my role I had to work within a multidisciplinary team with CNSs, Outpatient Nurses, Doctors from all levels and specialties and Administrators in a high pressure, fast paced environment to provide person centred patient care in line with Trust values.Liased with Nurse in charge and Doctors regarding important patient information and helped patient admission to the wards when patients were found to be acutely unwell.Vital signs assessed: Urinalysis, Blood pressure checks, BMI, Heart rate, Waist circumference, Pregnancy tests and COVID swabs for admission patients. I also chaperoned for clinicians when this was required.I gained exposure to the various healthcare specialities and found my experience highly educational and motivational.
