The Golden Record is created by scrubbing of information provided by various vendors received via MT564. The greatest risk of utilizing vendor data is the difference in interpretation by various vendors that lead to exception. Any discrepancies in the data provided by vendors post scrubbing leads to exception known as Work Flow Task (in EMC) and we resolve those WFTs.The resolved WFT goes through multiple layer of verification known as Multiple Authorization and we work onAuthentications of the same utilizing multiple sources like Bloomberg and Action Source and information provided by the company website (the last resort).The concept of Centralized repository is fairly a new concept within CITI and I have been part of the team CAVG (Corporate Action Validation Group) right from the inception. As we operate in a global scale so exposed risks are very high. We have been ensuring that risk in corporate action processing is minimized by providing correct and accurate data. For that we have ensured that new joinees are well equipped with the required amount of knowledge base. We have also ensured that the operations are streamlined and developed the Standard Operating Manual. Being a part of Investment Operations Outsourcing(IOO) I was exposed to various financial market instruments and their attributes in the real life scenario. IOO was into back office operations for Investment Managers and dealt with final deliverable of a Corporate Action Life-cycle or Income. I have worked on Dividend on equities, Interest on Bonds/MBS/ABS. I am well versed with Custody and Back-office operations for Unit-Trust as well.
