• Setup and configure test environment for X1200 product; functional, integration and regression test plans using lab equipment such as Azimuth channel emulator, Traffic Generators (Spirent, SmartBits), Spectrum Analyzer - Update RF cards Calibration file with new Tx Gain, attenuation and Power measured values - Determine new CINR thresholds, impacting system's MCS switching points (Sensitivity), by increasing attenuation level on link covering 3G/5G frequency range, and 40MHz/20MHz BW - Wireless Sanity, ranging and Network Entry testing to meet RFC market standards which involves Throughput measurement on various simulated outdoor channels (Azimuth) • Baseband-receiver link adaptation testing both manually and via automated Python testcases- Monitor frame data statistics such as channel estimates and noise estimates (RSSI, CINR, CRC, AGC, MCS, Data error) and decide on tests Pass/Fail criteria - Modify existing functions wrt SSH to units, CLI commands sent and expected results (array of string) to make the framework work with recent software release changes (ex: extracting RF stats, histograms, LinkUpCheck)- Link Adaptation (ADi table index, AGC, ATP mechanisms, Sensitivity test, MCS switching points) - Network Entry and Ranging by rebooting units randomly (DAN reboot, Radio disabled/enabled, system reboot) and check DCA functionality at same time by configuring RF cards with a list of frequency • Provide support and documentation on PV API and framework • Run nightly builds on Jenkins that would load and verify latest PV and software merges (change Lists) from Perforce depot • Track down system bugs and technical problems and work with design and software teams to bring issues to complete resolution• Experience with project management and software test management tools (JIRA, Perforce, Jenkins, TestLink)• Read and understand X1200 product parameters, features and standards

Beta Software Issue Management (BSIM) - Release and Execution team supports root cause analysis of pre-released BlackBerry Software (BB10 and Android) defects. Bugreports filed by Beta users (internal and external) from devices reflect various functional issues from Cellular Data and Services to Audio, during phone call or music playback, software Lags, Unresponsive Touch, Camera, Text Inputs, Thermal Mitigation, etc. Fixes of Gating and Critical issues goes into next software version.
