The organization HOPE Mallorca is a non-profit foundation that supports social projects on the island of Mallorca. The foundation has set itself the goal of helping disadvantaged people and giving them hope. As a volunteer I am responsible for back office activities for the organization. This allowed me to use my skills in IT and help the organization manage and organize their data. It is a great experience to be part of this organization and contribute to their important work.

The DATEV Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting and developing measures in the areas of IT, data and consumer protection, finance and taxes. The foundation's goal is to make a sustainable contribution to the development of our digitalized future. As a volunteer, my job is to bring together people who share a common passion, promote it in the best possible way and provide a network for knowledge and idea transfer as well as exchange of experiences. Here I was able to contribute and expand my IT expertise as well as my passion for volunteering.A personal highlight for me was the relaunch of the DATEV Foundation homepage, where I redesigned the entire server infrastructure and was able to raise the homepage to a new level with a modern design and better user experience.

As part of a project, a combination of cloud-native data center and modern clients devices was built to serve as the primary platform for cloud-native software development and modern service delivery for DATEV developers. During this time, my focus was on designing the workflow organization of three project teams. I was mainly responsible for coordinating and organizing the teams, establishing and continuously developing agile work processes, and taking care of a concerns of my teammates. I contributed to the on-time delivery of the datev.cloud platform by organizing team workshops and customer events, supporting the product owners in backlog management, and developing strategies to deal with impediments using appropriate visualizations of both challenges. In addition, I had the opportunity to deepen my methodological knowledge through coaching and training. I was also responsible for reviews and fast turnaround of customer helpdesk tickets. My company network helped me a lot in this. My previous best practice experience in the agile environment also benefited the project team, as I have been living this experience for over 10 years.

My duties varied and include monitoring and maintenance of IT systems. Performing upgrades and deploying code to the mainframe. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. I have built the largest community of practice (CoP) in the mainframe area at Datev.
