Worked as a (line) cook in the café/restaurant of 'Gastronomie "De Luifel"'. Was informally trained in standard culinary techniques, including the preparation and presentation of various dishes.

Taught a class on Dutch language and culture at Hong Kong Baptist University, introducing local- and exchange students to the basics of Dutch language and general Dutch culture. Was responsible for creating and structuring the lesson plan, as well as teaching the classes themselves and organising the required subject matter.
