I'm responsible for understanding user needs, behaviours, pain points, and translating them into actionable design solutions. This is wat my day-to-day tasks include:Conducting user research: This involves gathering data about users’ needs, goals, and behaviours through surveys, interviews, and usability tests.Designing user flows and wireframes: Creating user flows to map out the user’s journey through a digital experience and wireframes to visualise the layout of the interface.Creating prototypes: Create interactive prototypes that allow users to test the functionality and usability of a product. A really important step to make sure development is working on the right thing.Collaborating within our cross-functional team: I work closely with the product manager, developers, growth hackers and other stakeholders to ensure that the design meets user needs and aligns with business goals.Conducting usability tests: Testing the usability of designs with users to identify any issues or areas for improvement. I also know a great deal about accessibility and inclusion so I'm always including this in my work.Staying up-to-date with industry trends: Staying up to date with the latest trends in UX design so I'm always incorporate the newly best practices into my work.Overall, my goal as a UX Designer is to create digital experiences that provide value to users and meet the needs of the business. As a UX Designer working on the new PostNL business portal, my role involved creating a user-friendly interface tailored for all of PostNL’s business clients, from large enterprises to small businesses. The existing portal, while functional, was outdated, prompting the decision to build a new one by implementing and updating features one by one.
