As a UX Designer working on the new PostNL business portal, my role involved creating a user-friendly interface tailored for all of PostNL’s business clients, from large enterprises to small businesses. This is what my day-to-day tasks included:Updating existing features: Collaborating with fellow designers to refresh and improve the functionality of the portal’s existing features, ensuring they met modern standards and user expectations.Identifying and resolving issues: Using data analysis, addressing customer complaints, and tracking the Net Promoter Score (NPS) to identify and fix bottlenecks, errors, and misunderstandings in the business flow.Applying Design Thinking: Ensuring that we thoroughly understood user problems and addressed them effectively by using the Design Thinking methodology to guide our process.Prioritizing accessibility: Ensuring that the portal was inclusive and accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This commitment to accessibility was a key aspect of my work, aiming to create an interface that was easy to understand and use for everyone.Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the portal’s design aligned with both user needs and business goals.Enhancing user experience: Continuously improving the portal’s workflow and interface to make the workday smoother and more efficient for users, adding meaningful value to their experience. My overarching goal at PostNL was to create a digital experience that not only met the needs of the business but also provided significant value to users by making their daily operations easier and more efficient.
