In my role as an HR Partner, I was instrumental in transforming the HR function by shifting the focus from transactional HR tasks such as administration and compliance to becoming more business-oriented and value-creating for the organization. I was instrumental in implementing a new HR system that freed up more time for value-creating HR work. Through the introduction of exit surveys, I was also able to show the management team the causes of high employee turnover and its costs. I recruited and trained an internal recruitment function and implemented the use of selection tests in the recruitment process. In my role as an HR Partner, I supported all managers within the company with all HR questions and also held trainings for managers on recruitment, labor law, etc.

Kinna, Västra Götalands County, Sweden

During my time in Marks Municipality, I had the opportunity to be responsible for the review of the local cooperation agreement that the municipality had with 18 labour unions. It was a rewarding project that developed my ability to work with multiple stakeholders to find a common goal that took into account everyone's perspective.Together with the main occupational health and safety representative, I implemented a new type of interactive occupational health and safety training that more clearly demonstrated the business benefits of a well-functioning occupational health and safety program. I calculated the cost of sick leave to the municipality and how the occupational health service could be used in a more proactive way.In addition, I introduced selection tests in management recruitments as a way to broaden the perspective of who could be a good fit for certain types of roles, beyond experience as the first selection factor for senior positions such as department heads. In addition to this, I was instrumental in introducing social media as a new channel for recruitment. I also participated as a representative of the employer in the municipality's central cooperation forum with the labour unions.

Visby, Sweden

As an HR consultant, I supported managers in talent acquisition and other HR matters such as labor law, occupational health and safety, and leadership issues. I was also responsible for an internal HR support team that handled all incoming requests. Through efficiency improvements to the support team and the administration of the group's invoicing, the unit was able to reach its target of invoiced hours for the first time in two years. The efficiency improvements also meant that much more time could be spent on value-creating activities. In addition, I developed the work with selection tests and statistics, which resulted in time savings equivalent to 100 working hours per year.
