Besides the East of Suez Lines, I now also oversee the day-to-day commercial activities of the Short Sea Lines & Africa Lines within CMA CGM Belgium. Short Sea Lines consist of Export from Belgium to West & East Mediterranean, Baltic, Black Sea & Intra Europe. Africa Lines consist of North, West, East Africa + Indian Ocean.

Within CMA CGM Belgium, agent for the carrier CMA CGM, I oversee the day-to-day commercial activities of the East of Suez Lines out of Belgium to Middle East, India Pakistan & Far East. I supervise, lead & drive a team of 5 Line Managers, controlling a budget of nearly 50M usd. I develop & maintain customer relationships, on a daily basis monitor our performance vs budget & try to improve where necessary. I oversee the allocation between the different ports & services in Europe, develop and refine trade business plans & steer the pricing policy of the line by providing market feedback on a regular basis. As agent for the carrier the Line Managers offer & negotiate shipping costs with our customers, keeping in mind the financial & commercial budget of our agency, where necessary I try to improve. Thanks to working almost 10 year for the same company, I solve problems by using my extended network both inside & outside the CMA CGM Group. I report to the Commercial Manager

During a 6 months traineeship in CMA CGM HQ Marseille, I learn the ins & outs of a container carrier. Together with the local agencies in East Med area (Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Cyprus, Malta, Albania, Syria, Egypt) I maintain & develop the trade from East Med to North Europe & Middle East. I set the pricing policy of the line while keeping in mind the contribution & logistics imbalance + the market circumstances.I control the rotation of the FEMEX Line in Greece & Turkey & if necessary chang the rotation of a vessel for draught reasons. I make multiple commercial studies for the Line Manager to improve our financial & commercial performance.

As Line Manager Middle East & Red Sea I am responsible for all exports from Belgium to Middle East & Red Sea region. Together with a small team of 2 Operational Line assistants, I control a budget of 15M usd and succeed in further developing the trade with a yearly increase of about 5%. I report to the Commercial Manager within our agency in Belgium as well as to the HQ in Marseille on a regular basis.

As Operational Line Assistant, I am responsible for the bookings to Middle East & Red Sea. I give sailing schedules & confirm bookings from customers. I solve problems at load ports & contact our agencies overseas to help our customers with any problem they might have.

As Import Documentation Clerck I handled the incoming files for the FAL 1, FAL 3 & EPIC Line. I declared the manifest to Belgian customs, released import containers & solved problems if necessary
