Leads a team R&D engineers, project managers, and designers in multiple locations. Provides strategic leadership, establishes vision for product development, defines innovation needs and/or improvements to existing products, sets path of engineering/science/design that will lead to disruptive technologies, develops processes, and plans R&D resources allocation.

Managed strategic projects in the Global Packaging Group working cross functionally with Marketing, Brand Managers, Quality, Legal, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Units, Bottlers, and technology providers. Drove new technology developments and led global initiatives to introduce breakthrough packaging solutions, decoration and designs.

Hired in 1993,started working in the packaging laboratory to introduce new analytical processes and procedures to qualify packages and materials. In 1994 progressed to packaging specialist working in the field to authorize new suppliers and bottling plants. Advanced to packaging analyst in 1996 working with marketing and operations to provide packaging solutions aligned with the business plans and strategies. Promoted to Packaging Manager for Brazil Division in 1999, managed the implementation of packaging strategies, planning, defining and introducing new packages according to the business objectives and requirements. Those strategies collaborated to move the Brazil Division from the profitability bottom ranking to the top of all Divisions of The Coca-Cola Company globally, winning the Woodruff Cup in 2005.
